[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING ON PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, DAUIYAWA YOLANDA RIVAS, filed this Petition on April 21, 2022, for an Order for Change of Name to DAVIYANA YOLANDA RIVAS, which is her preferred name.  Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment filed on June 28, 2022, which does not reflect any record. The court’s docket reflects that no objections to the Petition have been filed.

The court previously continued the hearing on this matter from September 1, 2022, because proof of publication of the Order to Show Cause had not been filed. Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Although given an opportunity to comply, Petitioner has failed to do so.  Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause. Accordingly, the court continues the hearing again to December 10 at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause prior to the next hearing date.
