 [TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING FOR PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, Mary S. Prepotente, filed this Petition on June 1, 2022, for an Order for Change of Name to Shannielyn Prepotente Salas to conform to birth records.  Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment filed on July 5, 2022, which does not reflect any substantial reason for denying the petition. The court’s docket reflects that no objections to the Petition have been filed.

The court’s file does not reflect that Petitioner has complied with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause. Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Accordingly, the court continues the hearing to October 18, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Plaintiff is ordered to complete publication of the Order to Show Cause for the required time period prior to the continued hearing date.
