[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING ON PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, TRALONDA ADAMS, filed this Petition on August 1, 2022, for an Order for Change of Name to TRALONDA WEBSTER to restore her birth name.  Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment filed on September 25, 2022, which does not reflect any substantial reason for denying the petition. The court’s docket reflects that no objections to the Petition have been filed.

However, the court’s file does not reflect that Petitioner has complied with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause. Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Accordingly, the court continues the hearing to December 6, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Petitioner is ordered to submit the Order to Show Cause for publication for the required time period prior to the continued date of the hearing.
