[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING ON PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, Geovanny Mauricio Antonio, filed this Petition on February 16, 2023, for an to change his name last name to Mejia, which is his father’s last name. Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment which does not reflect any substantial reason for denying the petition.

The Court’s file does not reflect that the Order to Show cause has been published.  Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Accordingly, the Court continues the hearing to June 15, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause as required by statute.
