[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING ON PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, D’Anes Taylor, filed this Petition on May 10 2023, for an Order for Change of Name to Denise Taylor to correct an error on Petitioner’s birth certificate.  Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment filed on July 10, 2023, which does not reflect any substantial reason for denying the petition.

The court’s file does not reflect that Petitioner has complied with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause. Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Accordingly, the court continues the hearing to August 30, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause for the required period and to file proof of publication at least 10 court days before the hearing.
