[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING THE HEARING ON PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

Petitioner, Alejandra Sanchez, a minor, filed this Petition on May 30, 2023, for an Order for Change of Name to Alejandra Sanchez Verdugo.  Both parents have consented to the name change and request reissuance of Petitioner’s birth certificate to include Mother’s last name which was erroneously excluded.

The court’s file does not show that proof of publication of the Order to Show Cause has been filed.  (Code Civ. Proc., § 1277.) Accordingly, the court continues the hearing to September 15, 2023,  at 8:30 a.m. in Department A of the Compton Courthouse. Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause.
