[TENTATIVE] ORDER DENYING PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME WITHOUT PREJUDICE

            The Court was unable to consider the Petition filed on February 14, 2024, as it was not scanned into court records.

            However, the Court has reviewed the Criminal History Assessment filed on April 12, 2024 and finds substantial reasons for denying the Petition. (In re Arnett (2007) 148 Cal.App.4th 654, 661). Additionally, Petitioner did not establish that the requirements for publication of the order to show cause were met.

            Accordingly, the Court DENIES the petition without prejudice. Petitioner may file an amended petition without incurring further filing fees given the court’s inability to make the petition available. Petitioner is ordered to comply with the requirements for publication.
