Pending before the Court is Defendant Advalight Corp's ("Advalight") motion to extend the discovery and expert discovery cut-off dates so that they are tied to the new date for the trial that the Court will be setting.  The Court is granting Advalight's motion.  The Court will set the new trial date, and hence the discovery and expert discovery cut-off dates as well, at the upcoming case management conference.  The Court is hereby advancing the case management conference to September 8, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. when the case already is on calendar for a motion for an issuance of an order to show cause as to why plaintiff and her counsel should not be held in contempt.  The current October 9, 2023 date for the case management conference is vacated.

The Court urges counsel to dial down the rhetoric.  Yes, this is a contentious case. But the broadsides that counsel are levying against each other are over the top.
