Pending before the Court is the motion of Plaintiff Timothy Woods ("Woods") for an order compelling Defendant General Motors LLC ("GM") to provide further responses to requests for production of documents that Woods propounded on GM.  The RFPs in question appear are almost entirely identical to RFPs that were the subject of a motion that was before the Court on March 10, 2025 in Schultz v. General Motors LLC, 23STCV25836.  The Court issued a ruling that day that granted the motion in part and denied it in part.  Counsel for Woods in this action is counsel for the Plaintiff in Schultz.  Counsel for GM in this action is counsel for GM in Schultz.  In light of this overlap with respect to the subject matter of the motions in the two actions and the counsel for the parties in the two actions, the Court directs counsel to meet and confer and apply the Court's March 10, 2025 ruling on the motion in Schultz to the disputed RFPs here in this action.  If some of the RFPs in this action differ from the RFPs in Schultz and the parties cannot resolve their dispute as to those RFPs, then Plaintiff can file another motion seeking to compel further responses.   In sum, the Court is granting Woods's motion in part and denying it part based on the Court's ruling on the identical motion in Schultz.
