Pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure Section 397(a), the Court is granting the motion of Defendants Eric Thomas, Sergio, Thomas, and Monterey County Patients Group ("the Defendants") to transfer the venue of this action from Los Angeles County to Solano County.  Plaintiff Green Dragon Collective ("Plaintiff") does not oppose transferring the venue to Solano County.  Plaintiff does oppose Defendants' request under Section 396b(b) for an order imposing monetary sanctions against Plaintiff in the form of attorney's fees the Defendants incurred in connection with the transfer motion.  The Court has considered the arguments Plaintiff advanced in support of its opposition to the sanctions request.  The Court has concluded each of the arguments is unavailing for the reasons set forth in the Defendants' reply brief.  The amount of the monetary sanctions that the Court is ordering Plaintiff to pay to Defendants is $5,046.88, which is the amount set forth in the reply  brief. In the Court's view, that amount is reasonable.  The amount shall be paid within 60 days of the hearing on the transfer motion.

The Court will set a status hearing roughly 180 days from the date of the hearing on the transfer motion so that the Court can  track the transfer of the case to Solano County.
