The Court excuses the personal appearance of Claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.¿
Claimant R.W. (“Claimant”) agreed to settle his claims against Defendants for the total amount of $9,500. If the settlement is approved, $2,181.64 will be used for medical expenses, $2,375 for attorneys’ fees, and $1,245.56 will be used for costs. The net balance of $3,697.80 will be deposited into a blocked account.
Petitioner has now filed the Order To Deposit Funds In Blocked Account (MC-355). However, Petitioner did not re-file the Order Approving Compromise of Claim (MC-351) pertaining to this petition. Nonetheless, in the interests of judicial economy, the Court will consider the previous MC-351 filed on September 25, 2023 in connection with this October 26 2023 petition.
The Court sets an OSC Re Proof of Deposit on ___________________in Department SS-31 at 8:30 AM. No appearance required if receipt is filed in advance.
