The Court excuses the personal appearance of Claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.¿
Plaintiffs agreed to settle his claims against Defendants for the total amount of $15,000, with the entirety of the settlement amount to be apportioned to Yoel Trujano (“Claimant”). If the settlement is approved, $395.03 will be used for medical expenses, $3,750 for attorneys’ fees, and $995.25 will be used for costs. The net balance of $9,859.72 will be deposited into an insured account subject to withdrawal only on authorization of the court.
The Court has reviewed the settlement and finds it fair and reasonable. The Court also finds the attorneys’ fees fair and reasonable, in that it amounts to 25% of Claimant’s settlement.
The Court finds the settlement is reasonable and based thereon approves and GRANTS the petition.
