TENTATIVE 

 

Plaintiff Kalique Parker-Marpel (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendants Hugo Cesar 

Llerenatume (“Llerenatume”), Carlos Ponce (“Ponce”), Uber Technologies, Inc. (“Uber”), and Does 1 to 15 for damages arising from a motor vehicle action. On October 13, 2021. Plaintiff filed an Amendment to Complaint naming Martin Andrade (“Andrade”) as Doe 2. 

 

On March 11, 2022, Plaintiff filed a Request for Dismissal dismissing Uber. On September 6, 2022, Plaintiff filed a Request for Dismissal dismissing Does 3 to 15. On March 10, 2023, Plaintiff filed a Request for Dismissal dismissing Doe 1.  

 

Plaintiff’s Statement of the Case in Support of Default Judgment provides that Plaintiff seeks default judgment against Defendants in the total amount of $63,250, which includes $12,560 in special damages, $50,000 in general damages, and $690 in costs. 

 

Plaintiff seeks $15,000 against Ponce within the applicable limits of Vehicle Code §17151(a). The remaining amount is to be jointly split between Llerenatume and Andrade for a total of $24,125 each 

 

The application for default judgment filed on June 13, 2023 is GRANTED in the total amount of $15,000 against Ponce, $24,125 against Defendant Llerenatume, $24,125 against Andrade.
