[TENTATIVE] ORDER TAKING MOTION TO COMPEL INSPECTION OFF CALENDAR

Dept. 31

1:30 p.m.

May 8, 2023

Plaintiff Virgil Hood (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendants Lisa Mooney and Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“LACMTA”) (collectively, “Defendants”) for damages arising from a motor vehicle accident.

On November 8, 2022, Plaintiff filed the instant motion to compel LACMTA to produce the vehicle at issue for inspection.  The parties participated in an Informal Discovery Conference (“IDC”) regarding the subject discovery, which concerns a demand to allow the inspection of the bus involved in the accident, on February 23, 2023.  The issues were deemed resolved at the IDC with LACMTA agreeing to make the bus available for inspection by March 30, 2023.  (Min. Order, Feb. 23, 2023.)  Following the IDC, no party has filed anything additional relating to the motion to compel inspection.  The Court presumes all issues remain resolved and there is nothing going forward at this time.

The Court asks Counsel to ensure matters are promptly taken off calendar using the CRS online reservation system when they become moot.

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice.
