The Court excuses the personal appearance of Claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.
The Court has reviewed the Petition to Approve Compromise of Pending Action of a Minor Rodolfo Lopez (“Claimant”), Age 16.¿¿
The parties have agreed to settle all claims with Defendants for the total amount of $42,500, with $10,000 being apportioned to Claimant. Pertaining to Claimant, if the settlement is approved, $405.24 will be used for expenses, $190.08 for medical expenses, and $2,398.69 for attorneys’ fees. The net balance of $7,006.01 will be deposited into a blocked account.

The Court has reviewed the settlement and finds it fair and reasonable.¿The Court also finds the attorneys’ fees fair and reasonable, in that it amounts to 24% of Claimant’s settlement.¿Based on the foregoing, the Court approves and GRANTS the petition.¿¿
