The Court excuses the personal appearance of Claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.¿
Plaintiffs have agreed to settle their claims against Defendant for the total amount of $27,400, with $3,400 being apportioned to Albert Ceja (“Claimant”). If the settlement is approved, $1,133 will be used for medical expenses and $850 for attorneys’ fees. The net balance of $1,147 will be delivered to Maria De Los Angeles Quiroz, the parent of the minor.
The Court reviews the petition and finds it fair and reasonable. The Court also finds the attorney’s fees in the amount of 25% of Claimant’s settlement to be fair and reasonable. Based on the foregoing, the petition is GRANTED.
