[TENTATIVE] ORDER GRANTING MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL Dept. 31 1:30 p.m. April 24, 2023 |
Plaintiff Loretta Kablan’s (“Plaintiff”) attorney of record, Wiesman Pirian, Esq. (“Counsel”), seeks to be relieved as counsel, contending that Plaintiff has become uncooperative such that it has rendered continued legal representation unreasonably difficult. Counsel declares the moving papers were served on Plaintiff via mail at Plaintiff’s last known address. Further, Counsel has filed proof of service on Plaintiff.
The motion is unopposed and granted; the ruling is effective upon filing proof of service of the final order. The Court notes the next scheduled matter is an Order to Show Cause Re: Dismissal set for July 14, 2023, and trial is not yet scheduled. In order to ensure that there is sufficient time for Plaintiff to seek other counsel or otherwise prepare for the hearing, the Court continues the Order to Show Cause Re: Dismissal set for July 14, 2023, for approximately 60 days to ________ at 8:30 a.m. in this Department.
Counsel is ordered to give notice.
