[TENTATIVE] ORDER FINDING MOTION TO CONTINUE TRIAL DATE MOOT Dept. 31 1:30 p.m. March 20, 2023 |
On February 7, 2023, Plaintiff Iraina Crenshaw (“Plaintiff”) filed the instant motion to continue the previous trial date of March 9, 2023 to July 10, 2023. Thereafter, Plaintiff filed an Ex Parte Application to Continue Trial and All Related Dates to July 10, 2023, which was granted in part on February 10, 2023. (Min. Order, Feb. 10, 2023.) The March 9, 2023 trial date was continued to May 4, 2023. However, no deadlines were moved with the new trial date. The request to reopen discovery was denied without prejudice to Plaintiff filing a noticed motion.[1]
Therefore, the motion to continue trial is moot and taken off-calendar. The Court asks counsel to promptly take all matters off-calendar when they become moot.
Plaintiff is ordered to give notice.

[1] The instant motion to continue trial does not include a request to reopen discovery, nor does it address the relevant factors articulated in CCP § 2024.050. Further, on February 14, 2023, Plaintiff filed a noticed motion to reopen discovery.
