On February 14, 2023, Plaintiff Iraina Crenshaw (“Plaintiff”) filed the instant motion to reopen discovery based on the previous trial date of May 4, 2023.  On April 10, 2023, Defendant filed an opposition to the motion.  At the Final Status Conference on April 20, 2023, defense counsel appeared and represented that the parties reached a settlement agreement.  The May 4, 2023 trial date was advanced and vacated, and an Order to Show Cause Re: Dismissal (Settlement) was set for June 20, 2023.  To date, nothing further concerning the instant motion has been filed. 

Therefore, the motion to reopen discovery is moot and taken off-calendar.  The Court asks counsel to promptly take all matters off-calendar when they become moot.

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice.

• Parties are encouraged to meet and confer after reading this tentative ruling to see if they can reach an agreement.
• If a party intends to submit on this tentative ruling, the party must send an email to the court at sscdept31@lacourt.org with the Subject line “SUBMIT” followed by the case number.  The body of the email must include the hearing date and time, counsel’s contact information, and the identity of the party submitting.
