TENTATIVE 

 

Plaintiff United Financial Casualty Company (“Plaintiff”) filed this subrogation action against defendants Muhammad Asim (“Defendant”) and Does 1 to 20 for damages arising from a June 16, 2019 automobile collision. Plaintiff alleges that it paid uninsured motorist payments to its insured, Juan Lopez-Gabriel (“insured”), pursuant to the automobile insurance policy issued by Plaintiff as a result of the collision. The complaint prays for $36,053.20 in compensatory damages.  

 

Plaintiff now seeks default judgment against Defendant in the principal amount of $36,053.20, and $519 in costs for clerk’s filing fees and process server’s fees. All unnamed Doe defendants have been properly dismissed. 

 

In support thereof, Plaintiff submits the declarations of its insured and its custodian of records, Dawn Mitchell. 

 

Therefore, the application for default judgment filed on April 15, 2024 is GRANTED in the principal amount of $36,053.20, and $519 in costs, against defendant Muhammad Asim. 

 

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice.
