[TENTATIVE] ORDER CONTINUING DEFENDANTS’ MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT
Dept. 31 1:30 p.m. February 27, 2024 |
Defendant Norman Industrial Materials dba Industrial Metal Supply, Inc. (“IMS”) filed this motion for summary judgment on November 17, 2023, setting it for hearing on February 27, 2024.
CRC, rules 2.104 and 2.105 state that all papers must be prepared using a font size not smaller than 12 points, and that the font style must be essentially equivalent to Courier, Times New Roman, or Arial.
Here, IMS’ motion and all supporting papers are in a font style with excessive kerning, which significantly compromises legibility. IMS is ordered to re-file all papers in conformity with the California Rules of Court, using a standard font style with standard spacing between each letter and character.
The Court therefore continues the Hearing on Motion for Summary Judgment from February 27, 2024, to _______________ at 1:30 p.m. in Department 31 of the Spring Street Courthouse. IMS must re-file its motion and all supporting papers, with formatting changes only, no later than 9 court days from the continued hearing date. Substantive changes will not be permitted. Aside from this, no further briefing will be allowed.
Moving party is ordered to give notice.
