Anti-SLAPP Motion to Strike

The hearing on Defendants Related Management Company, LP’s and Yareli Sandoval’s Anti-SLAPP Motion to Strike is CONTINUED 12/19/2022 at 8:30 a.m. in Department N15.

Defendants Related Management Company, LP and Yareli Sandoval (Moving Defendants) move to strike the Complaint filed Plaintiff James Lowther pursuant to the Anti-SLAPP statute. (Civil Proc. Code, § 425.16.)

However, Moving Defendants also have filed a motion to consolidate this case and 5 other causes filed by Plaintiff Lowther against one or both of the Moving Defendants and other parties. The motion to consolidate is set to be heard on 11/14/2022.

Because the ruling on the motion to consolidate may affect the instant Anti-SLAPP motion to strike and it appears that the defendants have brought similar Anti-SLAPP motions to strike in one or more of the other cases, it would conserve judicial resources and the parties’ resources to continue this matter to a date after the hearing on the motion to consolidate.

Moving Defendants shall give notice of this ruling.
