Plaintiff’s motion for approval of PAGA settlement is GRANTED. Following review of the supplemental papers, the Court finds the parties’ settlement agreement to be “fair to those affected.” (Williams v. Superior Court (2017) 3 Cal.5th 531, 549.)    

The Court approves the following distributions:  

·         Attorney’s Fees:                  $185,000.00

·         Litigation Costs:                  $ 23,530.94

·         Administration Costs:        $ 11,482.00

·         Plaintiff’s Enhancement:    $ 5,000.00

Taking the above distributions into account, $324,987.06 remains to be distributed as provided under PAGA. This amount shall be allocated as follows: (a) $243,740.29 (75%) to the LWDA; (b) $81,246.77 (25%) to aggrieved employees.  

The Court approves the Notice.

A final accounting is set for July 26, 2024 at 9 AM in this Department. The administrator is to file a declaration no later than five court days in advance to confirm that the distribution of all funds is complete, including any distribution to the State Controller per the settlement agreement.
