The Court has considered the papers, including all supplemental papers, filed in connection with this Motion for Final Approval of $225,000 class and PAGA action settlement, and the parties should be prepared to address whether the LWDA was given notice of this hearing (ROA 111, 6/30/22 Minute Order) and served with the supplemental papers.

If these issues are resolved to the satisfaction of the Court, the Court will GRANT the Motion subject to the following: 

$ 5,000.00 for Plaintiff’s enhancement award; 

$ 75,000.00 total for attorney’s fees to Ackerman & Tilajef and Employment Rights Law to be allocated in accordance with their agreement;

$ 10,000.00 total for litigation costs to Ackerman & Tilajef and Employment Rights Law to be allocated in accordance with their agreement; 

$ 6,000.00 for Settlement Administrator’s Fees and Costs; and

$ 15,000.00 total for PAGA penalties with $11,250.00 to the LWDA (75%) and $3,750.00 (25%) to the aggrieved employees. 

If final approval is granted, Plaintiff is ordered to give notice, including to the LWDA, and file a proof of service.
