Judge: Randall J. Sherman, Case: 2022-01299026, Date: 2023-08-18 Tentative Ruling

The tentative ruling is to continue the hearing on defendant Hyundai Motor America’s applications to have attorneys Michael L. Kidney and Trent Sterneck admitted pro hac vice to represent it in this action to September 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

Defendant has not complied with CRC Rule 9.40(c)(1) since it has not filed with the court proofs of service by mail of copies of the applications and the notice of hearing of the applications on the State Bar of California at its San Francisco office.  The application for Michael L. Kidney also fails to comply with CRC Rule 9.40(d)(2) since it does not provide the dates of admission for all of the courts to which the applicant has been admitted to practice.

Supplemental documentation addressing these issues must be filed no later than two weeks before the new hearing date.

Defendant is ordered to give notice of the ruling unless notice is waived.
