Order RE: respondent’s motion to dismiss |
||
MOVING PARTY: Respondent Dominic Friesen
RESPONDING PARTY: Unopposed
Respondent’s Motion to Dismiss
The court
considered the moving papers filed in connection with this motion. No opposition papers were filed.
Respondent Dominic Friesen (“Friesen”) moves
the court for an order dismissing the appeal filed by appellant RSA Talent
Management, LLC (“RSA Talent Management”) on the ground that RSA Talent
Management is unrepresented by an attorney.
(Rogers v. Municipal Court (1988) 197 Cal.App.3d 1314, 1318 [“A
corporation is an artificial legal entity; it cannot represent itself in court
in propria persona but must appear through an agent who is a member of the
bar”].)
On August 23, 2022, RSA Talent Management
filed a Substitution of Attorney form, stating that it is now represented by
attorney Stephen J. Horvath. The court
therefore finds that, because RSA Talent Management has now substituted in
counsel to represent it in this proceeding, Friesen’s motion to dismiss is
moot.
ORDER
The court denies respondent Dominic Friesen’s Motion to Dismiss.
The
court orders respondent
Dominic Friesen to give notice of this order.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
