MOVING PARTY: Wayne L. Robbins, Jr.
RESPONDING PARTY: Unopposed
(1)
Amended
Application of Wayne L. Robbins, Jr. to Appear as Counsel Pro Hac Vice
MOVING PARTY: Victoria L. Rhodes
RESPONDING PARTY: Unopposed
(2)
Amended
Application of Victoria L. Rhodes to Appear as Counsel Pro Hac Vice
The court
considered the moving papers filed in connection with each application. No opposition papers were filed.
AMENDED APPLICATION OF WAYNE L. ROBBINS,
JR.
Applicant Wayne L. Robbins,
Jr. requests an order permitting him to appear as counsel pro hac vice for defendants
Isaac Jackson and Enrique Vergara in this action.
The court finds that the amended
application filed by Wayne L. Robbins, Jr. is moot.
While the amended application
asserts that the previous pro hac vice application filed with the court on
April 18, 2023 “was for [Lotte Global Logistics (North America), Inc.][,]”
Wayne L. Robbins, Jr.’s previous pro hac vice application requested an order
allowing him to represent individual defendants Isaac Jackson and Enrique
Vergara, i.e., the same relief sought in the pending application. (April 18, 2023 Application of Attorney Wayne
L. Robbins, Jr., p. 3:2-6 [requesting permission to appear as counsel pro hac vice
on behalf of Lotte Global Logistics (North America), Inc., Isaac Jackson, and
Enrique Vergara].) On May 15, 2023, the
court issued an order that (1) granted the application of Wayne L. Robbins, Jr.
to appear as counsel pro hac vice, and (2) ordered that “Wayne L. Robbins, Jr.
is permitted to appear as counsel pro hac vice for defendants Lotte Global
Logistics (North America), Inc., Isaac Jackson, and Enrique Vergara in this
action.” (May 15, 2023 Order, p.
2:7-10.)
Thus, the court has already
granted the relief requested in the amended application and therefore denies
the amended application of Wayne L. Robbins, Jr. as moot. (App., p. 3:2-6 [requesting that Wayne L.
Robbins, Jr. be admitted as counsel pro hac vice for defendants Isaac Jackson
and Enrique Vergara].)
AMENDED APPLICATION OF VICTORIA L.
RHODES
Applicant Victoria L. Rhodes requests an
order permitting her to appear as counsel pro hac vice for defendants Isaac
Jackson and Enrique Vergara in this action.
The court finds that the
amended application filed by Victoria L. Rhodes is moot.
On
April 18, 2023, Victoria L. Rhodes filed an application to appear as counsel
pro hac vice in this action for Lotte Global Logistics (North America), Inc.,
Isaac Jackson, and Enrique Vergara.
(April 18, 2023 Application of Victoria L. Rhodes, p. 3:2-6.) On May 15, 2023, the court issued an order
that (1) granted the application of Victoria L. Rhodes to appear as counsel pro
hac vice, and (2) ordered that “Victoria L. Rhodes is permitted to appear as
counsel pro hac vice for defendants Lotte Global Logistics (North America),
Inc., Isaac Jackson, and Enrique Vergara in this action.” (May 15, 2023 Order, p. 2:17-20.)
Thus, the court has already
granted the relief requested in the amended application and therefore denies
the amended application of Victoria L. Rhodes as moot. (App., p. 3:1-6 [requesting that Victoria L.
Rhodes be admitted as counsel pro hac vice for defendants Isaac Jackson and
Enrique Vergara].)
The court orders defendants
Isaac Jackson and Enrique Vergara to give notice of this ruling.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
