Plaintiff John Boesgaard's Motions to Compel Defendant The Vons Companies, Inc.'s [Initial] Responses to Plaintiff's Form Interrogatories Sets One and Two, Special Interrogatories Set One, and Requests for Production Sets One and Two (ROA 697, 703, 704, 709, and 710) and Motions to Deem Admitted its Requests for Admissions, Sets One and Two (ROA 700 and 711) are GRANTED.

Plaintiff propounded the written discovery requests on Defendant nearly a year ago and to date, Defendant still has not served any responses at all. Defendant acknowledges it has not served any responses in its opposition and provides no legitimate justification for its failure to serve the discovery responses.

Plaintiff's Requests for Admissions, Sets One and Two propounded on Defendant are deemed admitted.

Defendant is ordered to serve verified responses to Plaintiff's Form Interrogatories Sets One and Two, Special Interrogatories Set One, and Requests for Production Sets One and Two on or before March 8, 2024.

Plaintiff's request for sanctions is granted as requested. (Code Civ. Proc. §§ 2023.010(d), 2030.290(c), 2031.300(c), 2033.280(c).) Defendant is ordered to pay sanctions in the amount of $3,850.00 ($550.00 x 7 = $3,850.00) to Plaintiff on or before March 8, 2024.

Once confirmed, this ruling shall be the final ruling of the court and no further written order is required.
