CASE TITLE: CASE TYPE:

Civil - Unlimited  Non-PI/PD/WD tort - Other Motion Hearing (Civil) 37-2023-00011527-CU-NP-CTL THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA VS HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA CAUSAL DOCUMENT/DATE FILED: Motion to Appear Pro Hac Vice, 11/14/2023

Attorneys Gretchen Freeman, Ryan McDevitt, and Garrett Heilman's unopposed Verified Applications to Appear Pro Hac Vice for Plaintiff (ROA 37, 54, 60, 87) are GRANTED.

All counsel are reminded that an attorney whose application to appear as counsel pro hac vice has been granted shall pay to the superior court, on or before the anniversary of the date the application was granted, an annual renewal fee of five hundred dollars ($500) for each year the attorney maintains pro hac vice status in the case. (Gov. Code ยง 70617(e)(2).) Attorney Cobb's unopposed Verified Pro Hac Vice Application (ROA 74, 86) is ordered CONTINUED to March 22, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

Attorney Cobb's application does not state whether the attorney has made any other pro hac vice applications in California within the last two years, and if so, the title of court, case, date, and whether application was granted. (Cal. R. Court, rule 9.40(d)(5).) Accordingly, hearing on the application is continued to allow time for Attorney Cobb to submit a supplemental declaration on or before March 13, 2024 addressing this issue.

The court sets a Case Management Conference for June 14, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

Once confirmed, this ruling shall be the final ruling of the court and no further written order is required.
