Defendants U-Haul Co. of Kansas, Inc., et al's motion to compel the deposition of defendant Saloon Entertainment (ROA # 525) is granted as set forth below.

Defendant Saloon Entertainment, LLC is ordered to produce its person(s) most knowledgeable, in response to the moving parties' deposition notice, for deposition at 9:00 a.m. on January 25, 2024 at Regus-Emerald Plaza, 402 West Broadway, Suite 400, San Diego, CA 92101. The parties may agreement to change the date, time and/or place of the deposition but in the absence of an agreement, the deposition shall occur at stated in this order.

It is unnecessary for the court to adjudicate at this time any disputes concerning the scope of the deposition and the scope of the document requests. The court expects that, at the deposition, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve any disputes on these matters. The court reserves jurisdiction to make further orders concerning any such disputes.

The moving parties' request for monetary sanctions in the amount of $4,536 is granted as against Saloon Entertainment, LLC. Saloon Entertainment, LLC shall pay $4,536 to the moving parties by February 5, 2024.

This minute order constitutes the court's order. No party is required to submit a proposed order after hearing.

This is the tentative ruling for an appearance hearing (in person or remote) at 2:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. If no party appears at the hearing, this tentative ruling will become the order of the court as of January 5, 2024. If the parties are satisfied with the court's tentative ruling or do not otherwise wish to argue the motion, they are encouraged to give notice to the court and each other of their intention not to appear, though this notice is not required.
