The court invites the parties to appear (in person or remotely) for the hearing on defendant Baxter's motions to compel further discovery responses (ROA #'s 180, 188 and 196).

The parties should be prepared to identify the discovery requests/responses that remain in dispute. If any party plans to appear in person, the court requests that the party bring to court a hard copy of the discovery requests/responses that remain in dispute. For any party that plans to appear remotely, the court requests that the party be prepared to identify, by reference to the Register of Actions numbers, the requests/responses that remain in dispute.

If the parties have not already done so, the court suggests that the parties (all parties) stipulate to a protective order that would be available to address the handling of documents containing confidential or private information. It is reasonable to expect that documents containing confidential or private information will be provided during discovery, and it would be appropriate to have a protocol in place for the handling of those documents.

This is the tentative ruling for an appearance hearing (in person or remote) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024. If no party appears at the hearing, this tentative ruling will become the order of the court as of January 19, 2024. If the parties are satisfied with the court's tentative ruling or do not otherwise wish to argue the motion, they are encouraged to give notice to the court and each other of their intention not to appear, though this notice is not required.
