Keil's motion to transfer venue (ROA # 15). In advance of the hearing, the court invites the parties to review California Rule of Court 3.300. At the hearing, the court anticipates inquiring whether (1) a notice of related case has been filed in the Orange County family law case; (2) the Orange County judge has been asked to determine if this current case is related to the Orange County case; and (3) the Orange County judge has been asked to make an order transferring this current case to Orange County.

The court believes that it would inappropriate for this court to adjudicate the claims presented in this case before the Orange County family law court determines the existence and extent of any community property interest in the subject property.

This is the tentative ruling for an appearance hearing (in person or remote) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023. If no party appears at the hearing, this tentative ruling will become the order of the court as of August 11, 2023. If the parties are satisfied with the court's tentative ruling or do not otherwise wish to argue the motion, they are encouraged to give notice to the court and each other of their intention not to appear, though this notice is not required.
