to Confirm, Correct, or Vacate Contractual Arbitration Award (Alternative Dispute Resolution), 07/12/2023 Petitioner Lone Star Renovation & Construction, Inc.'s unopposed petition to confirm arbitration award (ROA # 1) is granted.

On June 19, 2023, the parties arbitrated this matter with the American Arbitration Association (Home Construction Arbitration Tribunal). Petition (ROA #1), p. 21.

On June 29, 2023, arbitrator James A. Greer issued an award in favor of the petitioner and against respondent in the amount of $56,751.33. Id. at p. 25.

Petitioner petitions the court to confirm the arbitration award. Respondent has not opposed the petition.

Under CCP § 1285.4 a petition must have (1) a copy of the agreement to arbitrate, or the substance of the agreement to arbitrate; (2) the name(s) of the arbitrator(s); and (3) a copy of the award and written opinion of the arbitrators. The petition here complies with these requirements. See Israel Decl., Exhibits 1-2.

Therefore, the arbitration award is confirmed pursuant to CCP § 1286.

The court invites petitioner to submit a proposed judgment.

This is the tentative ruling for an appearance (in person or remote) hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2023. If no party appears at the hearing, this tentative ruling will become the order of the Court as of August 28, 2023. If the parties are satisfied with the Court's tentative ruling or do not otherwise wish to argue the motion, they are encouraged to give notice to the Court and each other of their intention not to appear, though this notice is not required.
