I.                Background  

On February 14, 2023, Plaintiff, Inglewood Church of Christ, filed a Complaint against Defendants Zeeba Vans Company, Inc., dba Zeeba Vans, Kayvon Marashi, and Michael Paletz, and DOES 1 through 10 (collectively “Defendants”). On July 12, 2023, Plaintiff filed a First Amended Complaint (“FAC”). On October 23, 2023, Plaintiff filed a Second Amended Complaint (“SAC”) alleging causes of action for: (1) Breach of Contract; (2) Account Stated; and (3) Fraud – Deceit; (4) Fraud – Concealment; and (5) Fraud – False Promises.  

On February 23, 2024, Defendant, Michael Paletz’s attorney, Thomas D. Sands, Esq. (“Sands”) filed a Motion to be Relieved as Counsel.  Shortly thereafter, Mr. Paletz signed a substitution to represent himself, and more recently Mr. Paletz’s new counsel Brandon Corday filed a substitution to represent Mr. Paletz.  The Motion to be relieved is thereby mooted.
