TENTATIVE

The Court has reviewed the Expedited Petition to Approve Minor’s Compromise. The Court declines to approve the Petition as requested as some of the deficiencies identified by the Court’s March 15, 2023 minute order have been corrected, but the following deficiencies remain:

(1)  Retainer agreements are not attached to the petitions.

(2)  As to both petitions, item 14 is incorrectly completed. Only costs must be listed under this section, and not attorney fees. Thus, the total should state $298.10, and not $735.60. Moreover, there is no breakdown of each cost, and it is not clear what percentage of the costs is being attributed to each Claimant.

(3)  Under item 8(a)(1) of the proposed orders for both Claimants, counsel’s name should be listed next to where it says: “$437.50 payable to (specify).”

Accordingly, the hearing on this petition is CONTINUED to May 17, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. Counsel is ordered to file new petitions and proposed orders corrected the defects identified above.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
