Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor (Mariabelen Basulto, age 10)

TENTATIVE 

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.  

The Court has reviewed the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor (Mariabelen Basulto, age 10). The Court finds the settlement are requested attorney fees are reasonable. However, the following issues preclude granting of the petition at this time:

(1)  Items 12(a), 12(b)(5)(a), and 12(b)(5)(b) of the petition are blank.

(2)  Medi-Cal lien is not attached to the petition. To the extent the final lien is ready before the next hearing, counsel should attach a copy of the final lien.

Moreover, the Court CONTINUES the petition for the Probate Division to review the Special Needs Trust.

Accordingly, the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor (Mariabelen Basulto, age 10) is CONTINUED to 11/30/2022. Petitioner is ordered to file a new petition completing the above-cited items and attach the Medi-Cal lien to the petition.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
