TENTATIVE

The Court has reviewed the Expedited Petition to Approve Minor’s Compromise (Derozien Glover, Age 5). The Court declines to approve the Petition as requested. Pursuant to Cal Rules of Court 7.950.5(c)(3), the Court elects to schedule a hearing date to permit counsel to correct the following defects:

(1)   The petition is not signed by counsel or Petitioner.

(2)   All the attachments to the petition are blank. As a result, the following required documents have not been filed: Claimant’s medical records and medical bills, Medi-Cal lien, bank account information for blocked account, attorney-client retainer agreement, or counsel’s declaration for attorney fees.

(3)   The petition has not been served on Defendant.

Accordingly, the Court schedules a hearing on this petition for May 5, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. in Department SS-29. Counsel is ordered to correct the defects.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
