TENTATIVE

The Court has reviewed the Petitioner’s Expedited Petition to Approve Minor’s Compromise (Amairani Mejia, Age 14) without a hearing pursuant to Cal Rules of Court 7.950.5. The Court declines to approve the Petition as requested. Pursuant to Cal Rules of Court 7.950.5(c)(3), the Court elects to schedule a hearing date.

First, item 15b of the petition states total costs are $2,326.50, when they are $614. Counsel must correct this error.

Second, the client’s retainer agreement has not been filed with the petition.

Third, defendant has not been served with the petition.

Accordingly, the Court schedules a hearing on this petition to for November 17, 2022 in Department SS-29. Counsel is ordered to correct the defects and file supplemental documents with the retainer agreement.
