TENTATIVE
The Court enter the Parties stipulation to continue trial and related dates.
Trial is continued to October 6, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. FSC September 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Discovery cut-off and motion cut-off dates shall be based on the new trial date.
Discussion
Defendant moves the Court to continue trial the current trial date of April 20, 2023. In support, Defendant submits a joint stipulation between the Parties to continue trial for six months.
Here, the Parties submitted a joint stipulation to continue trial and all related dates, and have only submitted one prior stipulation to continue trial and related dates. (See Antoku Decl., Exhs. A-B.)
In accordance with the Personal Injury Standing Order paragraph 6, which allows parties to submit up to two joint stipulations to continue trial, without a showing of good cause or articulating the reason or justification for the change, the Court enters the Parties stipulation to continue trial.
Conclusion
Trial is continued. Discovery cut-off and motion cut-off dates shall be based on the new trial date.
Moving party is ordered to give notice.
