TENTATIVE

The Court has reviewed the Expedited Petitions to Approve Minor’s Compromise (Daniela Haro, age 16). The Court declines to approve the petition as requested as the following deficiencies remain:

(1)  Counsel states that Dr. Holmes will only accept $6,500 for medical expenses. If Dr. Holmes will not reduce the medical expenses to $4,397.73, then a new petition adjusting all the settlement figures must be filed, along with a new proposed order and proposed order to deposit into blocked account.

(2)  Defendants have not been served with the petition. The Proof of Service filed does not state who was served.

Accordingly, the matter is CONTINUED. Counsel is ordered to serve the petition on Defendants/file a proof of service showing they have been served. If Dr. Holmes will not reduce the medical expenses to $4,397.73 as previously stated in the petition, counsel is ordered to file a new petition, proposed order, and proposed blocked order correcting the amount listed for medical expenses, which all affect all the other settlement figures.
