TENTATIVE

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.

Based on the May 17, 2023, minute order, the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim is granted upon the filing of a declaration reflecting there is no medical lien. On May 18, 2023, Zainah Alfi, counsel for Petitioner, filed such declaration, stating that Medi-Cal did not pay for Claimant’s services. (Decl. Alfi ¶ 4.) She supports her declaration with an April 27, 2023, written correspondence from Department of Health Care Services. (Id., Ex. A.) She further attests that there were no other medical costs related to Claimant. (Id. at 5.)

Thus, the Court grants the petition and approves the following distribution of the settlement proceeds:

$7,500.00
