TENTATIVE 

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.  

The Court has reviewed the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor (Lucas Correll, age 17). The Court finds the settlement is reasonable. However, the following defects prelude the granting of the petition at this time. First, the listed costs, medical expenses and attorney fees only amount to $9,637.57, not $9,687.57 as listed on the petition and orders. Thus, the net settlement should amount to $8,862.43, and not $8,812.43, as listed on the petition and orders. Second, no medical bills are attached to the petition. Third, Defendant was not served with the petition.

Counsel is ordered to file a new petition and proposed orders correcting the defects and should include the medical bills incurred in this case.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
