Case Number: 19VECV01764    Hearing Date: September 21, 2022    Dept: T

Tentative ruling:  Request for continuance is denied.  At this stage, with a FSC set today, there are no exhibit lists, no witness lists, no proposed jury instructions, no Statement of the Case filed.  The court has already continued this trial multiple times.  On 11/19/2021, the court ordered that there be compliance with LASC Local Rules Chapter 3 for FSC and Trial preparation.  Both sides are in violation of that order. The court previously indicated that absent a showing of good cause, there would be no further continuances.  The court is not inclined to continue but to trail the case instead.  Both sides are ordered forthwith to file their trial documents.  The court will separately issue the OSC re sanctions for violation of court order.

The court notes that in 20STCV04286, there was an FSC on 9/20 with a trial set 9/30 and the FSC has been continued to 9/28.

The court notes that in BC676391, there have been multiple requests for continuance and a recent OSC re sanctions for failure to file trial documents against counsel for moving party, as here.  The trial is set 10/17/2022 which after the trial in this case which is set to begin 10/10/2022.
