Tentative ruling: Motion to Compel production of documents by defendants v. plaintiff Alexander Everest
All objections are stricken as untimely. Code compliant, verified responses without objection and production is ordered within 20 days. Monetary sanctions against Alexander Everest for failure to comply with discovery without substantial justification is awarded per CCP section 2031.310(c) in the sum of $2200 payable by check or money order to the Client Trust Account of Netzah & Shem-tov, 15260 Ventura Blvd., Suite 150, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403 by 1/12/2023. The court finds that the discovery responses were untimely and improper and fail to follow the statutory requirements for code compliant language. No opposition was filed to the motion. There is no evidence that counsel instructed plaintiff to violate the law or to not respond to the discovery requests. No sanctions against the attorneys.
