Tentative ruling:  The court treats the requirement for meet and confer seriously.  It is intended for there to be a real meet and confer, with substantive discussions concerning the issues with a view toward trying to resolve the matter before the demurrer is filed.  Here, there was no meet and confer.  The court orders that the parties meet and confer to determine whether any of the matters can be resolved.  The hearing is continued for 1 week to 3/15/2023 at 8:30 a.m.  The court accepts plaintiff’s counsel’s declaration as to the late filing.  Defendant may file a reply to the opposition (which was filed 6 court days late) by /10/2023.  The CMC is also continued to 3/15/2023 at 8:30 a.m.  The court will ask counsel to waive notice.
