Brown v
Liberty
22VECV01048
Motion for
Protective
Granted in
Part. The court will grant additional
time for plaintiffs to provide verified responses to the interrogatories through
March 4, 2023. No additional time is added for notice of this ruling. March 4th is the due date. Otherwise, the motion is denied. The court
disagrees that the interrogatories are not narrowly tailored. To the contrary they are very narrowly
tailored to discover facts, witnesses, and documents to support each of the
allegations in the 192-paragraph complaint.
There is no basis to deny the right to seek the facts, witnesses, and
documents which support each of the specific allegations in the complaint. In
what way could the court construct a remedy which would allow moving party to
get these answers? However, the court
will grant additional time to respond given the large number of interrogatories. No sanctions, each side had substantial
justification in their positions.
