After full consideration of the papers filed, Plaintiffs Ronald Lee dba Roke LLC and Clyde Higashi’s unopposed Motion for Terminating Sanctions is GRANTED. The Court strikes the Answer filed by Defendants David Lee Shin and Raymond Lau on February 1, 2021, and enters default forthwith. The Court DENIES Plaintiffs’ request for additional sanctions beyond the terminating sanctions and for interest on the prior monetary sanction.  The Court finds that the terminating sanction is a sufficient penalty under the circumstances. The Court does not further enforce previous monetary sanctions other than granting a request that they be transformed into a judgment. 

The Court sets a hearing on Order to Show Cause Re: Entry of Default Judgment for February 28, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.  All other future dates are advanced and vacated. If Plaintiffs seek an in-court default prove-up hearing, a written request must be filed within the next 20 court days.  Otherwise, the Court will accept a CCP 585 Default Judgment Package, which must be filed by December 17, 2022.  

Order entered this date, as modified.
