1.Plaintiff Maria Bramley’s unopposed Motion To Compel Defendants’ Responses To Plaintiff’s Form Interrogatories (Set One)
After consideration of the briefing filed, Plaintiff Maria Bramley’s unopposed Motion To Compel Defendants’ Responses To Plaintiff’s Form Interrogatories (Set One) And Impose Sanctions is GRANTED. Defendants Alexander Stein, 1940 Carmen LLC, and Ester Stein are ordered to serve verified responses, without objections, within 30 days.
The Court imposes monetary sanctions in the amount of $760.00 against Defendants, jointly and severally, for abuse of the discovery process for failing to respond to a valid method of discovery, payable within 30 days through Plaintiff's counsel of record, for the reasonable expenses incurred as a result of the abuse. (Code of Civ. Proc., §§ 2023.010(d); 2023.030(a).)
The Court does not impose monetary sanctions against any counsel for Defendants because they are not specifically identified as part of the notice.(Code of Civ. Proc. § 2023.040).
