Case Number: 23STCV26962    Hearing Date: January 30, 2025    Dept: 19

PLAINTIFFS' NOTICE OF MOTION AND MOTION TO COMPEL THE DEPOSITION OF DEFENDANT'S PERSON MOST QUALIFIED is DENIED.

The Court finds, as argued by Defendant, that Plaintiffs have failed establish that they met and conferred about GM’s objections and response to the deposition notice. ((See Yousef Decl., Ex. 3; CCP Sections 2025.450 and 2025.480).  The Exhibits attached to the motion only show letters requesting dates for the deposition.

Further, as argued by Defendant, Plaintiffs are required to file a separate statement accompanying Plaintiffs’ Motion regarding the categories at issue that they seeks to compel the Person Most Qualified to discuss and answer questions about. (See Cal. R. Court, Rule 3.1345(a)(4) and (5).) Here, Plaintiffs failed to submit a separate statement accompanying Plaintiffs’ Motion.

For the above reasons, the motion is denied.
