City of Los Angeles v. 636 NHP, LLC, Case No. 22STCP04149

The City of Los Angeles (“Petitioner”) seeks an order permitting entry onto the real property located at 636 North Hill Place in Los Angeles, California.  The owner, 636 NHP, LLC (“Respondent”) has filed a motion to change venue, per Code of Civil Procedure section 394.  The filing of such a motion stays the proceedings until the motion is decided.  (See McCarthy v. Superior Court (1987) 191 Cal.App.3d 1023, 1034.)  Therefore, the Court advances and vacates all dates.  The Court shall hear the motion to change venue on March 3, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.  If the motion is denied, the Court will set a new hearing date for the petition.  Respondent shall provide notice and file proof of such with the Court.
